Case file series 1 part 2

Hello evryone... today the bozoz will post another part of the mystery case file...hope you are enjoying...
As I walked past by her table, I caught a glimpse of her glass. I stopped walking and walked back to the table. I put on my thin glove and picked up the clear glass with spring water in it. I took a whiff of it. Cyanide. I put the glass down again and without delaying anymore, I went out of the door and ran to the nearest room, the lounge.

On my way, I bumped into Emily Tinkle, the new servant in the mansion. She has just been employed for a month but her sweet innocent face just made all of us feels assured and comforted every time. I didn’t ask her any questions but I did tell her to keep out of Madam Elizabeth’s room and then I told her to gather everyone in the lounge and wait for me there. Afterwards, I jogged over to where the painting remain was. As a new detective here in Sunnyville, I have to prove myself by solving this murder case and to do that I would have to gather as much clues as possible. I quickly found my way out to the garden where I saw the same piece of frosted glass sticking out. I pulled out a handkerchief and bent down to pick up the shard. I put it in the handy sample plastic I kept in my jacket pocket. I decided to examine it closer later. Now, I have to brief the people of this dreadful tragedy.

The second I stepped into the warm and crowded lounge, the buzzing stopped and all the worried faces turned to me. I cleared my throat. “Erm, everyone, please calm down and do not panic. There has been a murder in this mansion and I regret to say that Madam Elizabeth White has been a victim.”

There was and instant uproar. Emily looked so pale that I thought she would faint. Cindy Peals, the deceased’s student, was looking at me with wide fearful eyes and her whole body was shaking. She was not holding her cup of coffee right. Gordon Smith, the faithful and loyal butler, looked calm and collected but I know that he really was scared because his hand kept twitching every now and then. Collin Norman, the faithful student, with his refined face, looked terrified. Even his hazel brown eyes could be seen under those thick-framed glass. I didn’t have a chance to go through the rest of the people. The whole place seemed to erupt. I have had no chance of knowing these people. They just came a few days ago to take a look at this manor, which provides fascination for them. Anyway, I wouldn’t suspect them because they went out for a tour around the area at the time of the discovery.

I waited for them to calm down before saying “for the next few days, please keep out of this area, the deceased’s room I mean, and may I request that Emily, Cindy, Gordon and Collin stays here. The others may go.” The rest of them bustled they way out of the room until only five of us were left.
